Today I did another 13 km short walk from Arroyo de San Bol to the beginning of Castrojeriz. On the way I stopped at Hontanas for breakfast Tortilla and coffee. Later I passed the ruins of a convent; Ruinas del Convento de San Antón.
Castrojeriz is an impressive looking town at the foot of a lone hill which has the ruins of its castle at the top. I took a peek in the local church next to my albergue.
I still have discomfort with my shin although not as bad due to the shorter walks. I bought two pairs of insoles in Burgos, although I’ve been using just one pair. Tomorrow I will try to double them up and see if that works out.
