I couldn’t find a place to reserve at Carrión de los Condes, 25km away, so I decided to set off super early to make sure I could get a place at one of the municipal albergues that don’t take reservations.
By super early, I mean I set off at 4.10 am and walked for about 5 hours 20 minutes. Perhaps I was a bit too keen. I arrived in town just after 9.30am. The albergue I went to opened at 11.30am. I got some breakfast in town and I was still only second in line.
Not so many interesting photos because I was walking under darkness for the first half with a head lamp. The second half was a long straight path next to a main road.
