The albergue yesterday at Carrión de los Condes was run be nuns. Sisters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul to be exact. They were very friendly, but spoke no English. I had to turn to a new Slovenian acquaintance for some translation. They were single beds in a large dorm room. The dorm rooms were gender separated.
Later I had a very fancy steak, chips and pimientos at a upmarket restaurant. I got talking with a retired Swiss Italian speaking couple. We ate together and shared stories.
