Journeying on from Castrojeriz

Today’s journey was just over the 20 km mark. I got up early for a change at 6am. I think I was going a bit too fast for my own good to start with, it was not so comfortable, but I slowed for the last part. The Meseta has some strange geography, flat plains which drop to valleys with towns hidden within. I don’t know how people can describe this section as boring, it’s a geography I’m not used to. It defies my expectations. After Castrojeriz, there was a steep hill to climb and after, a drop into a flat plain.
