Which brings me to today. I had a good night sleep at the pension. I set off for a 14km journey to Rabé de las Calzadas.
I think I was doing some recovery in Burgos but this walk was not without discomfort. I think I am doing about all I can do now. The only thing I don’t have time for is what I probably need the most, more rest.
I have the Meseta ahead of me now, a long flat part that lasts until a bit past León. Many describe it as boring, but boring is what I need for my foot tendons.
I will have to judge my condition as I progress. We shall see, but I am not ready to give up just yet.
Burgos is famous for El Cid. There is a gate dedicated to him. It has a stork nest on it.
