I settled for an early night in the end. The intense walking of the last few days was showing. Today was at a more relaxed. I went to the cathedral, they had a service on and I walked around the edge. A powerful organ sounded and a thick smell of incense filled the air, these and the monastic singing were quite impressive.
After collecting another pilgrim stamp, I had more pintxos and Spanish cider for lunch.
I explored the streets, had a look at the bull ring and the streets the bulls run along. There was some mini festival activities with dancing giants.
Throughout the afternoon I read the final few chapters of “The Sun also Rises” in the main square, next to the Café Iruña frequently mentioned in the book.
